Soul Eater Episode 8 Review
What do most children do when they majorly fuck something up? Take responsibility? Hellz no. They run to their daddy’s and have them take care of everything. Soul Eater episode 8 begins with an unnaturally long intro sequence when then terminates into in the opening sequence which then leads immediately into about a good 30 seconds of globs of blood floating in the air.
Soul Eater episode 8 was a disappointment for me. Not only was the action not as good I hoped it would be, but Stein wasn’t as badass, and Chrona fell short too. Maka’s father’s deathscythe form was plain yet kind of cool looking, but completely different from what I expected. In both episode 1 and the opening sequence we see him with multiple blades popping out of his back like some blue hedgehog.
Soul Eater episode 8 was ok, I guess, it just fell short of my expectations, which is why I’m bitching about it. Soul Eater is an anime that has so far managed to exceed most of expectations, so I guess I set my standards a little high. Thanks for the reality check.
One thing that I do like about Soul Eater is how they display the souls. I’m sure the idea isn’t completely novel, but the presentation is pretty suave.
Soul is going to live, duh. His wound is cursed, not really a huge surprise. If you can’t kill off a main character, you eternally cripple him some way.
Medusa being part of Shibusen faculty is something I’m not really sure about. It feels…cumbersome for the series, especially since we’re a good third of the way through.
Final thoughts? Not really looking forward to the next episode. Just going to be random shit that doesn’t have a whole lot to do with the main storyline. Maybe it’ll be worth the laughs.

Perhaps they weren’t in their power ranger form XD (?). But yeah it felt like Kinda short, and the battle scene was crappy.
