Itazura na Kiss Episode 11 Review

I haven’t covered much of Itazura na Kiss lately since they entered college largely because I feel like the show took a turn for the worse, going from above average to falling into the usual abyss of cess, kiddy porn, and other bad dramas. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, but close. I was given to understand that the intended ending for Itazura na Kiss will actually be aired in the anime, so I’m mildly curious to see that. Anyways, here we go with Itazura na Kiss episode 11.

Irie Naoki has made the decision to become a doctor and studies for six months preparing for the transfer exam. Yes, transferring majors is literally that difficult in most Asian colleges. You need good freaking grades in whatever you’re currently doing, and then you need to pass an exam that most kids in said majors would have difficulty passing. Naoki being the genius passes it without too much trouble the first time, and proceeds to give his pops a heart attack. It’s nice to be able to do whatever your soul searching leads you to.

Even after all this time, in Itazura na Kiss episode 11, Kotoko is still playing the idiot, following/stalking Naoki everywhere, getting into trouble and needing to be saved. Yuuki has a crush on her, apparently, which is kind of out of the blue. He did get saved by her, but romantic feelings…? By the time Yuuki’s in his prime she’ll already be losing whatever looks she may possess. Anyways, the kid proves he has a pair, and their dog proves that it doesn’t.

Itazura na Kiss episode 11 just throws more of the usual stalker shit in. Naoki does make the momentous life turning decision to become a doctor, contrary to his old man’s wishes, which I say good for him. We’ll see if the canon ending is what we all think it’s going to be in a week or two.
