Code Geass R2 Episode 6 Review

May 12th, 2008 Code Geass R2 by Clave

Most who have played direct competition games before have some sense of what it is like to lose, or be losing. You start getting frantic and start making stupid and desperate moves that are easy to for the opponent to see through and swat aside but you do it anyways in vain hopes that it will succeed anyways. This feels like what Zero has been doing for the last six episodes of Code Geass R2. Half of his plans have gone awry in some way or another, and often they’re partially seen through even before it is over. The only thing he has had reasonable success at is keeping his awakening as Zero a secret, and even that kitty may be out of the bag now. Maybe he should take up igo instead of chess.

The main event in Code Geass R2 episode 6 is that Nunnally is back and tearing Lelouch apart with her very existence. The fact that she is following in Eupie’s footsteps seems to be foreboding something.

A little bit more about V.V. is revealed; not least that he is Lelouch’s uncle.

Kalen kicks some Knights of the Round ass, which I verily enjoyed. Blonde pretty boy justifies his loss by claiming he didn’t go all out. Miss Lolli doesn’t seem to do much except take cheap shots—it fits her for some reason.

In Code Geass R2 episode 6, Lelouch is really coming apart. He needs to get his shit together and soon if he is to have a chance in hell of toppling Britannia and his father. I’m a little disappointed with the lack of C.C. action, but I’m sure she’ll get more screen time later.
