Code Geass Episode 7 Review
Code Geass R2 episode 7 hmm… I’m not really sure what to say. It is a period of deep introspection for Lelouch as he examines whether or not he wants to continue with his empire overthrowing, patricidal rebellion now that Nunnally is safe and sound and apparently in charge.
Perhaps the single most surprising moment in Code Geass R2 episode 7 was when Nunnally was speaking with the emperor of Britannia and he didn’t call her down for reestablishing the Special Administrative Region of Japan or whatever. He’s a cold enough bastard to kill her for it, but he seems to not really care what she does. It would be a real blow to the gut if Nunnally follows Euphemia into the grave. I have a feeling they’re going to play off that again.
I really liked the old Lelouch that was willing to become evil for the sake of one person and everything else be damned. This new do-it-for-your-friends and people Lelouch, just doesn’t have that same, fascinating, larger than life persona. It was amusing to see him remember that everyone actually likes him.
C.C., Kallen, and Kaguya are starting to form up a nice little harem here. I would really like to know more about C.C.’s apparent ability to speak with the deceased.
A scuffle in the sea with Lelouch out braining Suzaku completely and declaring his support for the existence of the Special Administrative Region of Japan ends Code Geass R2 episode 7. We’re getting close to a third of the way through now, and my ardor has admittedly been dampened somewhat. I’m still looking forward to next week’s though.
