Itazura na Kiss Episode 6 Review

I am rapidly falling for Itazura na Kiss even though I feel like I shouldn’t. Largely my reluctance to admit to loving this show comes from the fact that it is ultimately a drama. Now I’m not saying that dramas can’t be good shows or entertainment, but thus far, nothing really really distinguishes Itazura na Kiss from everything else.

In Itazura na Kiss episode 6, Cold Blooded Genius Naoki, is apparently having some sort of internal dilemma about going to Todai University. Cheery Klutz Girl, Kotoko is honestly trying to help him with his exams process. The result? The meltdown of reality as we know it and in place an army of gnomes dancing on strip poles.

Naoki apparently arrives at a decision to not go to Todai U. because he really doesn’t know what the hell he wants to do cuz he is oh-so-talented. As it is, it’s pretty clear he is starting to feel some…love is too strong a word, or even good will. Rather he feels some warmth towards Cheery Klutz Girl and all her honestly good will antics.

Itazura na Kiss episode 6 decides which direction the story will go, which is the predictable one of course. There wouldn’t be much of a story if Naoki spent most of his time away from Kotoko. As I said, I am really enjoying this series for reasons beyond my fathoming.
